Just how does this guy keep getting away with modern day slavery and murder? It’s amazing! I just heard about this guy for the first time on the show Nightline.

Yeah yellow, I’ve seen many just right here who said they had no problem at all with racial profiling. I’ll bet they would think different if the shoe was on the other foot.
I think they said he’s been voted back into office 5 times already! Now you know that couldn’t be the discrimated against “minorities” voting for him. So who does that leave?
To the person who sued him and won, good for you! Congrats! He acted like all that lawsuit money was nothing when asked about it. He said, “oh, we only paid out $30 million! ONLY 30 million?! He looks like a true redneck and a fool!
One of his prisoners (who looked like he was white but could have been Latino) said something like this clown really needs to be doing some kind of lame reality television show instead of being a Sheriff. Because he’s all for the cameras and lights”. Looks like he has a lot more lawsuits coming up. The whole thing is insane, and in freaking 2009!

Not only are Sheriff Joe’s practices of racial profiling discriminatory and unjust, they are downright ineffective. His department is setting a disturbing national trend in which immigration enforcement is focused on “the easiest targets, not the most dangerous fugitives.” As a result, 40,000 felony warrants lay outstanding on Sheriff Joe’s desk, 911 response times have worsened, and his county is a less safe place. Regardless of your understanding of the greater immigration debate, this is simply bad law-enforcement.

(4. Arpaio is about 200 miles from the Mexican border. If this joker is so effective, why do most authorities conclude that unlawful immigration to his county is actually one of very few venues in the U.S. where that movement is increasing? The recession figures underline this!
It’s quite humorous that clowns like Arpaio question the Civil Liberties Union…the same outfit that was so helpful to “the Bard of Lard” Limbaugh during his drug problems and ultimate coverup. They’re far more what the Constitution is about than lunatic blowhards like the current Maricopa County Sheriff. Indeed, this clown doesn’t even recognize “innocent until proven guilty” and does all he can to pervert and obstruct justice. And I proved that in court, by the way, as have HUNDREDS of others.
He is a very unfunny joke, and yes, he, himself, belongs in the slammer. Publicity and crackpot stunts are NOT to be confused with law enforcement.

You are complaining about someone who is enforcing the laws and doing his job. Why don’t you complain about the cause! A porous border which anyone can apparently cross illegally. I have no problem with people coming here from other countries legally. Millions enter this country legally each year! Why do you support people who think the laws do not apply to them and enter the US illegally.
Do you support human trafficking? Do you think that human smugglers are treating their human cargo fairly? Do you want drugs to flow into the US unchecked? Do you want people forced into prostitution. Do you want people working for low wages in poor conditions afraid to complain because of fear of deportation? (If they came here legally they wound not have anything to fear would they)

It’s one thing for a law enforcement officer to uphold his/her rigid principles according to established law and quite another to decide which laws you will obey and which you will ignore.
He sounds exactly like the Southern Sheriffs before 1964 (and some after).
Perhaps the Federal Government should step in to enforce the law.
