What are the laws for Placer County, Ca about children home alone?

07 Mar

My friend’s daycare provider left 3 children home alone while she went to drop off her own child at school. What laws protect my friend who lives in Placer County, California?

I’m in a county close to you…solano…and here it’s a child who is 13 can be left alone…but if under 13 needs a 16 year old babysitter…or something like that…personally i think the laws are too strict and dont take in account the reality of peoples lives…just like when they raised the driving age fr: 16 to 18…they seem to tighten the reigns v well but never loosen up …even a little…gl..

You should check with your county’s District Attorney or contact the Child Protective Services agency. How old were the children? I hope your friend is looking for a new DCP!

san Mateo county the children are to be at least 13, to be left home alone…i would call the children protection service agency in your county and they can tell you the age limit and if the kids were to young make a report on this person, she needs to be careful and not leave kids alone every again….
