My dream is to work for my local sheriff’s department and it has been this way for a few years. I am graduating with my degree and I am more than excited for what is to come. I would like to become a deputy but that doesn’t sit well with my guy. I know, I know, I need to do what I want to do, and I will. I guess my question is how do I assure him that I will be okay and that he has nothing to worry about? I understand that my working with men and working difficult hours will be uncomfortable…and there’s the issue of safety too. Don’t get me wrong, this worries me also. I just wish I knew what to do to ease his mind.

i am about to finish my first semester in college. an interesting opportunity showed up, the LA county sheriff is hiring for custody assistant, and by the way i want to be a peace officer. is that a good way to start my career? and should i take this opportunity, and study at college part time?… thank you for any suggestions…

im worried about coming home and finding my locks changed or finding my belongings impounded or out on the curb. i have alot of valuable guitars and sound gear. i just learned about this 2 weeks ago. how long do i have before this happens and can it happen without notice? do i have to see or recieve other notices after the auction notice? are there any things i can do to stay longer if i havent found a place?

Hi, our house is in foreclosure, and we know we have to give it up. (I lost my job-husb laid off) It is scheduled for sheriff sale on December 2, and we are wondering how long after that until we get the 10 day notice to move? What is the timeframe on paperwork that must be done first (deed,etc)? Bad timing, because either way it will right before or right after Christmas. We live in Lucas County in Ohio.

i am planning on attending a Sheriff Reserve Police Academy own my own. Ca someone please tell me what are my chances of being hire as a full time or reserve police officer. I had One misdemeanor in 2007, also i just let my home go recently just like most of them out there. Do i have any chance of ever bing a Law Enforcement officer?
I had also applied for LASD reserve, my misdemeanor was petty theft.

I have never been to one..I assume I should wear a suit? Too formal? I am not sure..It will be at my University with companies from eBay all the way to Sheriff Departments, so a wide range. I will be coming with some resume’s, but I have no clue what to ask the people when I get to their company? I mean, the point is, I want a job…so what are the things I should be asking and doing?

My house was in foreclosure and actually scheduled for a sheriffs sale.I was able to sell the property myself before the sale ate with the county. I id work this out with the bank and they withdrew the sherriff sale.
My question is this….
Will that foreclosure appear on my credit report even though it never actually went through.I want to buy another home next year…
