My fiance and I are having a hard time finding an officiant for our wedding. The county clerk, clerk-treasurer, Justice of the Peace and the Mayor are all out of town the day the wedding is to take place. Is there any sub paragraphs to the marriage laws in indiana that says who can officiate in such a case?
A clerk of the county court can marry you. Is the sheriff considered a clerk of the court?
