Ok Im living in a house that is going into foreclosure The owner that owned it is now decased… Im Just wondering how long i have in this house until i have to get out the paper said the earliest possible sheriffs date i 5 – 6 mnths then it says OF COURSE THE AMOUNT NEEDED TO CURE THE DEFAULT WILL INCREASE THE LONGER YOU WAIT im not exactly sure what that means currently no one is paying the mortgage it is going inot foreclosure

Contrasting Roles and Functions
The perceived idea by an individual or by a community may look at a municipal and sheriff departments with having similar responsibilities and functions. These similarities are arresting powers, keeping the peace, investigating crimes, and preventing crime. While these specific functions may unite these agencies in keeping to a related goal or mission, they also have specific differences in some of their functions and roles that separate them into two different law enforcement agencies.
The jurisdiction of a municipal police department lies within the city or community that created it. The jurisdiction of the Sheriff Department operates through out the county and fills in between the municipalities that have their own city police. Since the sheriff department operates under the jurisdiction of the county it can and still works hand in hand with the municipal police to enforce laws within the towns and cities.
Another difference between the law enforcement agencies is how the chief of police and the sheriff are hired. The chief of police is typically appointed by the mayor or selected by the city council and being elected to office as a public official fills the sheriff’s position. (Policing America pp.62-63 and Criminal Justice Today pp.179-180)
The responsibilities that the sheriff department has to fulfill also differentiate the agencies. Some of these duties are serving court papers, run county jails, and responsible for detainees awaiting trial. While the municipal police duties still basically lay in general police duties, such as traffic enforcement, patrol and first response, and investigations of death, accidents, and violent crimes. The question is.. Should Law Enforcement Agencies such as LAPD allow their graduating cadets to go straight into patrol? As opposed to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where they go into the jails or courts prior to going to patrol.

If you file AGGRAVATED ASSAULT charges on a person and the person is served should it show up in news paper?

Well a person pulled a gun on me in Calhoun County, MS to collect a dismissed debt, and the sheriff said he would pick the person up on the charges and investigate. The person was served papers, but it did not show up in the Calhoun County news paper. The Sheriff did not investigate the matter. Should the County Attorney file charges in the County or should he have file charged in Federal Court? What can be done about this matter? The County Attorney who filed for the dismissal of the debt said that he would subpoena the witnesses, but has not at this time and court is on 3/12. The witnesses do not want to act like they know anything now, but I have a surprise if I can get the witnesses in Court. What should I do? Should it really be in Federal Court?
