Hi guys, i was born to be a swat, i love to see them doing theyre job, i got theyre movies, davds, even games, i really wanna be a swat, its the best career ever, i dont only want to worry about money, i want a job that i will enjoy, i live in philadelphia, can you guys tell me where is a law enforcement school near me? and why do you have to be a police officer first? man =( i mean, can you just be a swat first, or how long do you have to be a police officer to be swat, and what are the requirements? please tell me. i really wanna be a swat, best job ever.

Also, when you are a D.A. or an A.D.A. is it only for Criminal Court or does Civil Courts have it? What about Immigration? or Probate?

I am going to be a junior in high school next year and would like to become a police officer. I would like to know what classes would be most helpful in college? I already know that i would like to work at a department around Houston (Harris County Sheriff, Constable, or a local department). Also when should i start to look for a Police Academy? and is there any Academies in the Houston area? And finally if you work in a law enforcement, what age did you start? (Police Academy, and/or the department you work at)
And if you have any reccomendations on the path you took to become a police officer, that would be helpful.

I want to become a district attorney and want to know what would help my case. I understand the education requirements. I am going to get my Bachelors in Criminal Justice and then my law degree. After that I understand I need to get a job as an assistant district attorney and thats where my question comes in.
What would be a good job to gain experience for this job? I currently work for an insurance company which I doubt is going to do much for me. Should I look for a job as a bailiff? Court clerk? Stick with what I have because it wont matter?
I understand its an elected position, what contacts would I need to be making now?
Would speeding tickets effect my chances?
Would family history?
How long is the typical turnover time from assistant DA until you have a chance of being elected as DA?
i want to become a sheriff deputy or a Georgia State Patrol officer help?

Also when your a patrol officer trying to make detective is it really who you know more than who you are? Lastly which department do you think is better for moving up and having a chance of making detective, the Houston Police Department, the Los Angeles Police Department or the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department??
