My step daughter called the law after we just had cook-out and every one was drinking. She told them that someone was trying to break in to the house. A friend and I were arrested in my back yard out of sight and a private yard. When I got out of jail, I kicked her out of my house. I think it was nothing short of kidnapping. Im fighting this.

What do Think of this Deputies arrest 69 illegal aliens in 24-hour period by Maricopa County Sheriff’s?
(Maricopa County, AZ) In the past 24 hours, Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 69
illegal aliens in the act of violating felony state human smuggling laws. The arrests are the result of
three separate traffic stops, one of which that led deputies to a drop house at the 1700 block of
Freemont Rd in Phoenix where 19 illegal aliens were discovered and arrested.Sheriff Arpaio confirmed that one of the suspects arrested, Jose Luna-Zamarripa DOB 07-11-1986,
was previously arrested by Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies for human smuggling in 2008.
Zamarripa was deported after serving a sentence in state prison and has apparently returned back to
the human smuggling trade. These arrests are a result of Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s recent promise to ensure that all 900 of his sworn
deputies receive training on the enforcement of illegal immigration laws.Sheriff Arpaio states that the rate of arrests made by his office for human smuggling violations at
this point of the year is already almost triple what it was this time last year. This is a significant
increase considering the fact that the federal government just recently stripped the Sheriff’s authority
to allow 100 federally trained deputies to act as Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement (ICE)
agents under the 287(g) program.“This proves that I am keeping my promise to the people of Maricopa County and that I am
continuing to press forward on the illegal immigration problem we are facing. Obviously the
numbers suggest that illegal aliens are still coming into this country and we are still arresting them,”
Arpaio says.
Since the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office began enforcing felony state human smuggling laws,
1,874 illegal aliens have been arrested and booked into the county jail on felony smuggling
violations.
The Maricopa county Sheriff’s Office continues to be the only law enforcement agency to enforce
all aspects of state human smuggling laws.http://www.mcso.org/include/pr_pdf/3-2-2010%20News%20Release.pdf

DHS tells Arizona sheriff he will not arrest illegals Does this imply that we don’t have illegals?
Nobody wouldn’t say that Sheriff Joe Arpaio isn’t a bit controversial but you can’t argue that he gets results. What I can’t understand is why the Department of Homeland Security is stripping him of authority to arrest all illegal immigrants. Does this imply that we don’t have illegal immigrants. Isn’t it the job of your sheriff to arrest people who are doing illegal things?
Deported illegal alien can you believe this sues the sheriff’ claims not his job to arrest him above the laws?
BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio — Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones faces charges in federal court that he violated a man’s constitutional rights. The court will decide if the sheriff authorized his employees to detain an illegal immigrant and whether that was his right to do.
Luis Rodriguez had lived in the United States for 11 years when Butler County Sheriff’s deputies and a former federal immigration worker Jones had hired at the sheriff’s office arrived at the construction work site where Rodriguez was working on Port Union Road in Hamilton in 2007.
Rodriguez’ lawyer, Al Gerhardstein, says the deputies and the former ICE agent said they wanted to talk to a supervisor about documenting workers. But while there, they also questioned several workers including Rodriguez. They arrested him and he was deported. His family, including two children born in the United States and therefore U.S. citizens, returned to Mexico so the family could remain intact.
Rodriguez sued the sheriff, saying it wasn’t his place to do the job of federal immigration agents.
Tuesday, at the federal courthouse in downtown Cincinnati, Judge Tim Black heard arguments from Gerhardstein that the sheriff’s workers had conducted an illegal detention and questioning. “Our case is not really about whether or not he should be sent out, ” Gerhardstein says. “Our case is about the process we use and the fairness we apply to people. In this case, we are arguing that the sheriff deputies illegally arrested him. Swept into a work site without using the common legal means. Didn’t have probable cause, didn’t have reasonable suspicion, and seized him and collected the evidence they needed to deport him.”
The sheriff’s attorney disagreed and told Judge Black that other courts have ruled in similar cases that what the sheriff did is legal.
Sheriff Jones wouldn’t comment on the case to the I-Team.
Judge Black will decide in the next few weeks if the case should go to trial, get a direct verdict from a jury or if he rules for the sheriff, he could throw out the case altogether.

Why does L.A. County SD not have arrest warrant information accessable on-line as other So. CA Counties do?
Orange, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino Sheriff’s Depts. have a link on their web-site where a person can check to see if they (or someone else) has an arrest warrant out for a given name. WHY does L.A. SD NOT have this? You’d think they would to allow people to clear up and old issue!
How can I get a copy of my arrest report in AL?
I was told by the Sheriff’s record clerk that only a subpoena from an attorney can get my arrest record. I asked “what if I am defending myself?”. I was told that if that is the case then I am still not allowed to see the record. There are no witnesses as the only people around were cops. How can they keep the most crucial piece of evidence from me. Where does it say that I must retain a lawyer to see evidence that the defense will use. I was planning on deciding whether or not to hire an attorney and what to plea based on the arrest report. Can I supeona the records myself even though I am not a licensed attorney. Anyone help, please. I feel like I am being railroaded!! Thanks in advance. The case is for a class C misdeameanor for Public Intoxication.
Do sheriff departments in Border States have any jurisdiction in the arrest of illegal immigrants?
I live in Arizona, and Maricopa County Sheriff Arpio or however you spell it is cracking down on Illegal immigrants. I don’t think this is right because he is a sheriff, not a immigration officer. My dad is border patrol and thats his job, not a sheriff that has enough trouble handling crimes in his county. And the dude likes men in pink underwear, there has got to be something wrong with that.

I just discovered that the woman I rent to has an active arrest warrant.?
The primary charge under the San Diego County Sheriff’s warrant look-up page reads MC63.0102(B)12. Other than it being a misdemeanor, no information on the specific offense is provided. I have children in the home and am rightfully concerned for their safety. Does anyone know what this code means, or how I can look up this charge? Thanks for any direction on this.
