If Wall street Bankers
and Republican Neo Cons were Honest
then Socialism would not be an issue.
So far Republicans advocate taxing the working class to pay for the Wealthy by their resent actions alone .
Isn’t this what this Republican Bush / Paulson Bail out is all about ?
And I am not happy with my fellow Democrats in Congress who keep getting duped by Republicans in power.
Actually the Sheriff was the thief behind the badge. Much worse
BTW
every time we get our paycheck
we see a lot of tax’s taken out.
Who is going to pay for this war in Iraq?
If So Many Republicans Hate Robin Hood -then do they all work for the evil sheriff ?

You know what’s funny? They play the religious card, but you know what? Jesus hated the rich. He was a minimalist and thought money was the root of all evil.

Just remember that in the story of Robin Hood, he is actually a criminal. Do you like steeling? Do you like terrorizing people?

They keep yelling socialism, and yet the majority of the people who vote are the beneficiaries of one of the biggest socialist programs …. Social Security.

Right now Republicans are not in a good mood. Lots are brooding, talking to themselves and or are in total denial. They are going down in November, in a very big way.

Don’t try to use logical arguments with republicans, it’ll only result in them calling you ‘Unamerican’ or telling you to go back to China.
EDIT: you see what i’m talking about, look at these comments… These people are incapable of critical thinking.

Do you realize that Union media, union hollywood and union writers have biased you. Unions in government = communism. Mafia is still in charge of the unions, this is how they control society.

wow, i hate how nobody knows about how our tax system works.
the government taxes the poor almost none. 40% of the people in our country pay no income tax. the richer you get, the higher you’re taxed. the top 5% of our population pays for half the total tax revenue of the government. so when a republican enacts a tax break, it’s not you’re taxing the poor even more. they still get their low tax rate, plus a little bonus. the rich always get more back, just because they’re already paying through the nose. i mean, you pay $5 million in taxes, you’re going to get a higher monetary amount than someone who pays $5,000. but percentage wise, the rich have always paid more taxes than the poor.
and if a Democrat does what Obama is proposing, taxing the rich higher and giving the middle class a big break, then what’s the incentive to being rich? if you achieve wealth, you get taxed more? how fair is that?
EDIT
i resent the stereotype that republicans are incapable of thinking. it’s truly the other way around. if democrats actually LISTENED to Obama instead of just looking at him, they’d realize he’s full of crap.

Robin Hood stole from ONE MAN……The story might have been alot different if Robin Hood had stolen from EVERYONE and then given it to people he deemed worthy.
Albert C.- The only people I’ve seen bring up religon on Y/A this election have been democrats saying Jesus was a minimalist…Jesus is really a democrat…its so sad.

The higher you push the capital gains tax, the more you move money away from the U.S. to countries with lower capital gains taxes. Same with corporate taxes. As for who benefits the country the most, the teacher or the heiress, each benefits the country in his or her own way. How many people do you think the heiress employs? “only invest into their own portfolios” – what does that even mean? Investment puts people to work. Less investment means less jobs.
And if you think everyone in the highest bracket “knows how to avoid taxes” you’re dreaming – who do you think pays the vast majority of taxes in this country? The “rich” do.
Moreover, increasing taxes actually decreases the overall revenue after about a year. Cutting taxes leads to an increase in revenue because it leads to an increase in GDP. Look it up, it’s a fact. There must be a balance – you cannot increase taxes forever, now, can you, just as you can’t decrease them to zero either.

You’ve got it all backwards.
Robin Hood was a conservative. He was facing a overbearing, tyrannical, intrusive government with merciless tax rates and meaningless regulations.
So he began reducing government size. He didn’t steal from the rich. He stole from the nobility. Nobility were the government. He slashed their budgets (by taking their money) and gave it back to the people who earned it.
It wasn’t that they were just poor…they had been ROBBED by the government.
This whole steal from the rich and give to the poor routine….it’s a bad joke. It puts hard working industrialists and presidents alongside caste systems that awarded wealth by birthright and stole from lower castes (also by birthright).
So unless Obama is planning to cut down government power and return our tax money to us….he can’t be Robin Hood. If he plans to increase government power, intrusiveness into our lives, enact the Fairness Doctrine, put in additional regulation on business, and demand that paying taxes is patriotic….
…He’s the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Wow…last time I checked…the Deomcrats are actually in power and hold both legislative branches for the last 2 years…..what exactly have they been doing all this time while Bush ran the country in the ground? Now they want the whitehouse too!? Why didn’t they do anything with the oppurtunity already given them…unless they wanted to let the country tank to seal the deal on this years election.
Got to love politics…

To Albert C. who said that Jesus “thought money was the root of all evil.” That’s not true.
Jesus said “the *love” of money is the root of all evil.”
And Jesus does not “hate the rich.”

Well put. And for those republicans with a me first attitude and pi ss on they neighbour. It’s as simple as what goes around comes around.
American people are in trouble and need our help now. Let’s not forget the poor, the homeless, the unforgotten war vet, which McCain and company threw in the gutter and lets not forget about the thousands of people that are losing their jobs daily due to mismanaged investments and lies.
When your turn comes and you have your hand out looking for help, just remember the selfish attitude you took when the rest of society was suffering.
Edit: The evil answers that you have directed at bluechristy, just proves my point.

Two points. First, I agree the crooks on Wall Street should be held accountable and put in jail if found guilty of fraud or any other illegal activity. Also, originally I was not for the bail outs because greed and political agendas caused the situation. When I say political make sure you understand it is a two party problem. We were so geared to get more borderline families into home ownership that pressure was put on the financial institutions to make it happen. So they took advantage of the wants of the government and co-conspired to make it happen.
Second point, The basic concept of taking from the successful and giving to those who choose not to go after THEIR American dream is certainly flawed. Eventhough the people on wall street have obviously placed a bad taste in the public mouth,we have to remember 99.9% of us are not involved in that fiasco. I believe each person has a personal responsibility to prepare them self for the work market and to do their utmost to be the best employee they can be. I know from my 38 yrs in the work force and observing those who succeed, the main ingredient needed to get ahead is determine, believing in your own abilities, and being 100% dependable. That’s all it takes to do well. This theory of the Democrats that some ( and I’m not talking of the small % who truly need the governments and our help) just can’t make it and we owe it to them to take from the successful and give to the underachievers is so un-american that it worries me that our youth will buy into it. If that happens, what a future this country will have. Are you aware under current programs the wealthy ( however we define that) pay 80+% of all income tax? Even worst with Obama’s proposals is the fact he wants to give tax dollars back to those who don’t even pay taxes. Talk about supporting a free ride! Doesn’t get any more rediculous than that.

I can tell from your question that you have no idea what Republicans believe in. Let me inform you.
The term in question is called social mobility. Social mobility exists when there is ample opportunity for an individual to increase (or decrease) their financial position based on their efforts (or lack of effort). Republicans want to create social mobility. We have another name for this opportunity, The American Dream. We believe it should be available to everyone willing to work for it.
Socialism that you are so fond of is the complete lack of social mobility. It takes away all reason for anyone to work hard on anything. Why should I work overtime to buy a new car if I know you are going to come steal it? It is better I don’t work and you can’t have the car either.
I don’t like the bailout either, but if you think the majority Democrat Congress didn’t have the power to stop it you ignoring the facts. If you don’t know that Obama’s personal advisors were personally responsible for a big part of the crash then you are uninformed. Both sides failed us in this, but the fact is that Republicans tried to do something several years ago and were blocked by your Democrat leadership in Congress.
A NeoCon or Neo Conservative is someone who is anti-communistic, supports agressive US foreign policy, and has abandoned the liberal left in favor of the right in order to be on the correct (to them) side of those issues. I just thought you should know because I don’t think you did. It helps to know what a term means when you throw it around.
I am the working class, and I am the person you want to tax to death. There are wealthy people paying less than they should, and there are a whole lot of freeloaders paying nothing. The freeloaders are the ones you want to help, and I am the one you seek to punish in order to make it happen. I am the person looking for opportunity that you want to strip away to line the pockets of lazy people.
The Republicans are not in power.

Comparing Obama to Robin Hood is a good analogy. Robin Hood took from the rich and gave the to the poor only after the rich got rich off the backs of the middle class then took our livelihood away and that is why we are poor. We can not replace the sheriff of Nottingham with his twin brother.

They just don’t get it. Everything is a circle, break the circle and everything is effected all the way back to the Break, (Wall Street) until it gets Fixed (Regulations on Corporation!). Corporations with the blessing of Our Government has taken Jobs from this country (that pay Americans Money so we can buy things too!) over countries where labor costs haven’t been that low since 1900 in this country.
That is WHY we have Unions! (And the people in them need to get more involved)
It is Our Responsibility as Americans to Hold those We elect to a Higher Standard.
And quit Voting for the Dumbest on the Ticket!
