How can someone report a bad cop?
1. Where and how does one file a complaint about a harris county sheriff officer?
2. How can anyone find out if a harris county officer already has complaints filed against him?
If anyone knows these answers please help, this is serious.
I’ve never broken any laws in my life, I don’t even have a record! This is not funny, so please don’t make it out to be.

Make out a written complaint and give it to the commanding officer in charge of the station where the officer works if this fails then go higher to the officer in charge of the commanding officer of that station and keep going higher and higher until you get a result.

The Texas Rangers — a division of the DPS- do all serious investigations of law enforcement in the state.

HCSO has an Internal Affairs Division. Call them. The police department cannot help you since that is a totally different agency.
You won’t be able to find out if there is a complaint filed against the officer.

Contact the Harris County Sheriff’s office and ask to speak to the commander or to someone in charge. Tell them in brief what you’re calling about. They have special forms for you to fill out so be prepared to follow through with your complaint; have times, dates, places, and the exact details of the problem already written down so you don’t have to guess. Avoid emotional ranting, try to stick to the facts. If you were doing something wrong at the time don’t try to gloss over it. If they pursue action against the officer and then find out you were being a total ***** and were the instigator, it will not go well for your claim.

Don’t break the law. I dont care about all the “thumbs downs” from the cop-haters on here. Why do you want to know if he/she has complaints? that’s none of your vindictive business lol
If its “serious” call the SO, dont sit on yahoo answers whining.
