You don’t have much time but you could get with a foreclosure stop company. You will have to pay them. About $1,200. But they can stop the sale, work with the mortgage company to refinance your house, or put the arrears on the back of the loan. You would have to prove that you are capable of making the payments from then on. You will get something of a break before payments resume.
If you can’t do that, you have the right to buy the house in the sale just like anyone else but I imagine it will be very hard to get another loan. Some people are able to have a family member buy the house and then they pay them to live there, and eventually buy it back from them when they are back on their feet.
If it is sold, then you usually have 10 days to vacate.
